The Aracoma Story, Inc. is a nonprofit community theater rooted in the heart of Logan, West Virginia. Since 1975, we’ve been bringing Appalachian history to life through powerful storytelling, live performances, and unforgettable experiences under the stars at the Liz Spurlock Amphitheatre in Chief Logan State Park.
At the center of our mission is The Aracoma Story—a legendary outdoor drama that honors the life and legacy of Princess Aracoma, daughter of Shawnee Chief Cornstalk, and her love story with English settler Boling Baker. More than just a performance, this story is a tribute to the resilience, tragedy, and rich cultural heritage of our region.

Over the years, we’ve expanded our productions to include musicals, comedies, dinner theater, and living history shows, engaging audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, our stage is a place where community, history, and the arts come together.
With over four decades of performances and countless memories made, The Aracoma Story, Inc. remains one of West Virginia’s longest-running outdoor dramas and a proud cornerstone of Southern West Virginia’s cultural landscape.
